An allergy is a reaction by your immune system to something that doesn’t bother most people. People who have allergies are often sensitive to more than one thing. Substances that sometimes cause reactions are:
- Pollen
- Dust Mites
- Pet Dander
- Food
- Insect Stings
- Medications
Usually, your immune system fights off germs. It’s your body’s defense system. In most allergic reactions; however, it’s responding to a false alarm. Genese and the environment probably both play a role.
Allergies can cause a wide arry of symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, itching, rashes, swelling or asthma. Allergies can range from minor to severe. Anaphylaxis is a severe reaction that can be life-threatening. Doctors use skin and blood tests to diagnose allergies. Treatments include medicines, allergy shots and avoiding the substances that cause the reactions.

Other Remedies:
WASHING AND BATHING YOUR PETS
Pet dogs and cats can sometimes trigger allergy attacks, especially when they’re kept inside the house. Pet dander is one of the most common allergens, and cats and dogs can bring in dust, pollen, and other irritants inside the house. Therefore, it’s advised that you regularly grom your pets, and – if possible – bathe them frequently. Those who have allergy problems are also advised to wash their hands after handling pets.
TAKING APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Taking in apple cider vinegar has been shown to help improve someone’s overall general health. Recent studies have linked its usefulness to alleviating allergy symptoms as it works in lowering the production of mucous. Mixing 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water is all it takes to follow this treatment plan. Consuming the said mixture at least 3 times a day will result in a stronger immune system that’s less prone to allergic attacks.
DEHUMIDIFYING THE ENVIRONMENT
A humid environment makes for a great breeding ground for mold, mildew, and other kinds of allergens. It’s for this reason that dehumidifying one’s home is essential especially when there are members of the family who are prone to allergy attacks. You can use dehumidifiers for this purpose so that the humidity level inside the house can be regulated properly.
WOODEN FLOORING IS ALSO ADVISABLE
It’s not advisable for people with allergens to have carpeted floors as this is the ideal haven for dust mites and other irritants. If you can’t regularly clean and vacuum carpeted flooring, it would be better to have hardwood or bare floors instead.
