The common cold is a viral infection of your nose and throat (upper respiratory tract). It’s usually harmless, although it may not feel that way. A couple of different types of viruses can cause a common cold.
Children who are younger than 6 are at greatest risk of colds, but healthy adults can also expect to have at least 3 colds annually.
Most people recover from a common cold in a week or 10 days. Symptoms may last longer in people who smoke. If symptoms don’t improve, see your doctor right away.
For colds, you can mix oregano essential oil, eucalyptus and black pepper with coconut oil and apply it to the bottom of feet. You may inhale the mixture, or else massage it on your skin.
